North Little Rock School District Crestwood Elementary in North Little Rock, Arkansas seeks an Instructional Paraprofessional for a full-time, 185-day position. The role reports to the principal and supports teachers in delivering instructional services to elementary students.

Responsibilities include tutoring, supervising students, preparing materials, using classroom technology, attending staff meetings, and assisting with behavior plans under supervision of teachers and specialists.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma, 60-hours of college credit, or successful completion of the Paraprofessional Praxis Exam.
• Experience: Preferred but not required.
• Computer Skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applicable technology.
• Certificates & Licenses: Minimum as stated in the Education requirements, with a preference of teaching or teaching-related certificates and licenses.
• Additional Requirements: Successful completion of ASP/FBI and Child Maltreatment background checks.

Responsibilities

• Tutor and assist students individually or in small groups in order to help students master assignments and to reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers.
• Supervise students in classrooms, halls, cafeterias, schoolyards, and gymnasiums, or on field trips.
• Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
• Observe students' performance and record relevant data to assess progress.
• Discuss assigned duties with classroom teachers in order to coordinate instructional efforts.
