Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 48 college credit hours or a 2- or 4-year degree.
• Ability to support teacher instruction and work with groups and individuals.
• Maintain student confidentiality.
• Willingness to obtain NC School Bus Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Works with the teacher to support instructional plans; gives instruction to groups and individuals as directed.
• Maintains confidentiality in student matters.
• Proctors tests as requested by administration.
• Prepares instructional materials and organizes them for classroom use.
• Distributes and collects materials; maintains classroom inventory.
• Supervises students in class, on the playground, and on field trips; ensures safety.
• Scores student papers as instructed by the teacher.
• Checks and reports attendance and maintains student records.
