Qualifications

• Level I, II or III qualifications as specified, with required state or local assessments for Level I Title I.
• Ability to assist in reading, writing and mathematics instruction as appropriate.
• Physical examination and good communication skills with students, staff, parents and the community.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups, reinforcing instruction and tracking progress.
• Participate in instructional teams and liaise with parents and staff as needed.
• Assist in administering tests, score results, and support IEP implementation.
• Monitor student behavior and report progress and concerns.
• Provide clerical support and help prepare instructional materials.
• Set up work areas, displays and equipment and distribute supplies.
• Assist with health-related procedures and safety practices as required by students.
