Job summary

Colorado International Language Academy in Colorado Springs is seeking an Elementary School Instructional Aide who will assist classroom teachers in implementing the curriculum and supporting students.

You will work in small groups or one-on-one, collaborate with ESS/MTSS teams on IEPs and 504s, and help implement academic and behavior plans, while monitoring lunch and recess and performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma required; Associate’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Commitment to supporting a diverse student population and the school’s culture.
• Clear and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Assist Teachers: Support faculty members in implementing the curriculum and completing logistical and administrative tasks.
• Student Support: Work in small groups or one-on-one with students who require academic, behavioral, or social-emotional intervention.
• ESS/MTSS Collaboration: Collaborate with ESS and MTSS teams to implement student plans (IEPs, 504s, MTSS and READ plans, etc.).
• Academic and Behavior Plans: Assist faculty in implementing academic and behavior plans for students.
• Monitoring Duties: Fulfill regular monitoring duties during lunch, recess, and other activities to ensure student safety and adherence to school rules.
• Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by school administration.
