Job summary

Cambridge Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Health & Wellness Teacher to join the Health, Physical Education, and Wellness Department. The role focuses on delivering health education, promoting SEL, and collaborating with school staff across Morse and Baldwin schools.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree with Massachusetts Certification in pk-8 Health and Family/Consumer Science, and preferably have urban teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
• Massachusetts Certification in pk-8 Health and Family/Consumer Science.
• Experience teaching in urban settings and diverse communities.
• Strong communication and collaboration with staff, students, and families.

Responsibilities

• Utilize H/PE department instructional strategies to develop life skills and facilitate dialogue with students and caregivers.
• Lead or co-lead the coordinated school health team and support SEL initiatives.
• Coordinate guest speakers and school-wide health promotion activities.
• Collaborate with Health and Wellness team and manage reports and materials.
