Job summary

Health Assistant - Liberty Elementary School at Big Lake Schools is seeking a Health Assistant to provide first aid and basic health care to students. The role supports the Licensed School Nurse with medication administration and health services within the building, documenting care and maintaining records.

The candidate will consult with parents and staff on health issues, and prepare district/state reports as required.

Qualifications

• A combination of education, experience, and training necessary to perform the requirements of the work.
• Pediatric experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and health care to students at Liberty Elementary School.
• Document and maintain healthcare records and services within the building.
• Administer medications to students per policies and physician authorization.
• Consult with parents, staff, students and others on health care issues; prepare required reports.
