Job summary

Adams County School District 14 seeks an Elementary ELD Teacher to deliver targeted English language development aligned to state standards. The role involves collaboration with classroom teachers, data-informed planning, and inclusive, linguistically responsive instruction for English learners.

The position requires a Colorado elementary teaching certificate, fingerprints per district policy, and READ Act training requirements for K–3.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Must possess or qualify and receive within 30 days of hire for a Colorado teaching certificate with an elementary education endorsement.
• Must submit fingerprints through Adams 14's district-coordinated employment background check process.
• Employment is contingent upon the District's review of the results in accordance with applicable law and District policy.
• Teachers assigned to grades K-3 must meet all Colorado READ Act training and evidence-based reading instruction requirements.
• Dual Language Teachers required to hold CLDE or appropriate credentials.
• One year residency, student teaching, or classroom experience preferred.
• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned; Knowledgeable of state curriculum standards.
• Bilingual Endorsement preferred; Regular attendance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans reflecting district curriculum and accommodations for differences in students.
• Plan and use instructional strategies and technology aligned to student needs and standards.
• Assess learning styles and use results to plan activities.
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs.
• Plan instructional goals and MTSS-related interventions.
• Use Tier I and differentiated instruction to meet learner needs.
• Lead and coordinate with instructional teams for targeted support.
• Utilize technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Supervise instructional aides and volunteers.
