Khan Academy is seeking an experienced and versatile assessment content creator to join the Assessments team as an Elementary ELA Content Creator. This fixed-term role spans 24 months, developing new K-12 assessment content with a focus on grades 3-5 and alignment to state standards.

You will collaborate with engineers, designers, and other teams to deliver high-quality, equitable assessments. The ideal candidate brings classroom ELA experience, deep pedagogical knowledge, and a growth mindset,

Qualifications

• Experience in grades 3-5 ELA assessment development.
• 2+ years classroom experience teaching elementary ELA.
• Deep knowledge of state and national standards.
• Growth mindset with a passion for education.
• Ability to collaborate on time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to creation of K-12 assessments using blueprints.
• Improve content and item management systems.
