Job summary

Millcreek Township School District is seeking an Educational Assistant for Asbury Elementary School in Fairview, PA. The position runs 6.5 hours per day across 181 days each school year, from 8:45 am to 3:45 pm, reporting to the Building Principal.

The role supports teachers and students, with duties ranging from small-group instruction support to clerical tasks, and front-office assistance. Requires 48 credits/associate degree or Title I paraprofessional test, great communication, and

Qualifications

• Minimum two years post-secondary (48 credits) or associate degree.
• Passing score on Title I Paraprofessional Assessment test via I.U.5.
• Computer and office skills preferred.
• Good communication skills required.
• Ability to work with elementary age students in a supportive role.
• Knowledge of elementary school office, attendance, and library preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher with non-instructional duties and guide students.
• Work with individuals or small groups, reinforcing instruction as directed.
• Support students with classroom assignments, homework, and projects.
• Assist with routine clerical duties and documentation.
• Observe and manage student behavior according to procedures.
• Support front office duties, phones, mailings, and attendance.
