SALARY Commensurate with certification and experience based on the Wicomico County Salary Scale for Teachers (Unit I). Includes employee benefits package

Hours Full time 10-month position (190 contract days). Contract Unit: This position is part of the Unit I (Certificated) bargaining unit. FLSA: Exempt

Qualifications Valid Maryland Professional Certificate required, Administrator I endorsement preferred or working toward an Administrator I endorsement. Must have three (3) years of successful teaching experience. Ability to interact positively with students, staff, and community. Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the administrative team and carry out the directives of the principal.
• Assist in the resolution of issues which interfere with students receiving the maximum benefit from the school’s educational programs.
• Assist in protecting the health and welfare of all students.
• Plan and administer a program of effective student discipline under the direction of the principal.
• Coordinates and implements student related special programs as assigned by the principal.
• Assist principal in the coordination, supervision, and monitoring of student related school activities/events as well as extra-curricular activities that occur outside of the regular school day.
• Utilizes multiple data sources to improve student achievement, attendance and behavior.
• Other related duties as assigned.
