Job summary

Charter Schools USA (CSUSA) is seeking an Elementary Daily Substitute to keep learning on track in the absence of the regular teacher. This part-time role supports classroom routines, teaches prepared lessons, and follows CSUSA policies to ensure a smooth school day.

You will work closely with principals and staff, report daily activities, and help maintain a positive learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment toward CSUSA mission.
• Works with staff and relates to individuals at all levels.
• Computer basics: Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong communication: oral, written and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teaches the lessons prepared by the absent teacher.
• Reviews plans with the principal and follows the day’s schedule.
• Reports in writing the day’s activities and provides feedback.
• Follows CSUSA policies and established classroom practices.
• Consults with the principal before initiating unlisted lessons.
• Maintain routines and supervise student behavior.
• Maintain good relations with faculty and staff.
