Job summary

Charter Schools USA is seeking an Elementary Daily Substitute to join our team in the Baton Rouge area. The role supports students by delivering prepared lessons in the absence of the regular teacher and maintaining classroom routines throughout the day.

You will follow school and CSUSA policies, communicate with the principal and staff, and provide feedback on daily activities. A high school diploma or GED and completion of the district Substitute Workshop are required.

Qualifications

• Requires enthusiasm and commitment toward the job and CSUSA mission.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal abilities.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Teach lessons prepared by the absent teacher and follow the lesson plans.
• Maintain student routines and manage classroom behavior as directed by CSUSA policies.
• Provide written daily activity reports and feedback to the principal or supervisor.
• Support school in delivering a smooth substitute lesson experience for students.
