Job summary

The Lead Teacher will develop instructional plans, supervise students and staff, and collaborate to improve teaching and learning across settings. The position emphasizes data-driven decision making, technology integration, and continuous improvement practices, with routine interactions with families

• Maintain order and discipline in classrooms and school environments.
• Operate standard office machines.
• Maintain basic files and records.
• Collaborate with administrators, staff, students, parents and community.
• Excellent oral and written communication and human relations.

Responsibilities

• Work with the school improvement team to assess PD needs and facilitate activities.
• Assist new teachers and others needing classroom support.
• Identify teacher strengths and resources to help classrooms.
• Collaborate with staff to interpret testing data and share implications.
• Support planning and implementation of instructional plans with teachers.
• Coordinate scheduling and pacing with grade levels and departments.
• Mentor colleagues and model effective instruction.
• Share best practices and resources across disciplines.
• Communicate with district lead teachers and curriculum directors to improve teaching and learning.
• Attend district workshops to stay current with best practices.
• Provide PD at school and district levels to support ongoing improvement.
• Observe classrooms informally to tailor student support.
• Model ethical professional behavior and high teaching standards.
• Plan for a model classroom if assigned to teach one class.
