Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Curriculum Coordinator to guide instructional planning across campuses and support district-wide curriculum aligned with state standards. The role emphasizes evidence-based practices, PLC facilitation, RTI, and data-driven decision making to raise student performance.

You will coordinate planning meetings, collaborate with teachers and district Academic Services, develop campus improvement plans, and deliver staff development.

Qualifications

• Valid Texas teaching certificate by the State Board.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Master’s Degree in Education preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of standards-based curriculum and evidence-based instructional practices.
• Ability to facilitate growth in adults.
• Ability to evaluate and modify instructional programs and teacher effectiveness via data analysis.
• Implementation of RTI.
• Ability to work collaboratively with others.
• Outstanding written and oral communication; strong organization and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Planning Meetings using the PLC model.
• Plan instruction and assessments with teachers; design differentiated instruction.
• Analyze student data showing impact of instructional interventions on achievement.
• Demonstrate instructional expertise via model teaching, team teaching, and video presentations.
• Research and build a data bank of evidence-based practices and resources.
• Develop a timeline for campus assessments.
• Analyze school-wide data to develop a Campus Improvement Plan.
• Plan, organize, and facilitate RTI meetings.
• Create/upload current year and longitudinal reports for screeners and assessments.
• Collaborate with campus principal to plan staff development and create courses and agendas.
• Organize and implement academic tutoring programs.
• Communicate feedback to campus principal regarding curriculum implementation.
