Job summary

You will work under the principal's supervision in a dynamic elementary setting, collaborating with staff to ensure a safe, inclusive environment and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• North Carolina state certification as an Elementary Teacher.
• Certification at appropriate grade level preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers a standards-based elementary curriculum.
• Creates a safe, supportive classroom enabling small group instruction.
• Plans lessons and materials to maximize instructional time.
• Monitors and assesses student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
• Communicates progress and expectations to students, families, and administration.
• Maintains accurate records of grades and attendance as required.
• Collaborates with grade-level colleagues and participates in meetings.
• Supervises students during activities outside the classroom as needed.
• Administers standardized tests per district programs.
