Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate required.
• To work in Title I-funded school, 48 college credit hours or paraprofessional assessment required.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with students individually or in small groups to reinforce subjects initially introduced by the teacher.
• Assists teachers in planning, implementing, and evaluating instructional lessons, methods, strategies and materials for individual needs.
• Organizes materials for each group/student; sets up learning stations and supervises students.
• Leads and/or facilitates group discussions and activities.
• Prepares instructional materials such as posters, charts, and displays.
• Notes student progress and assists instructional staff with assessments.
• Assists in supervising lunch, playground, and bus duties as directed.
• Assists in testing/assessment administration and records data.
• Performs clerical tasks including attendance and record-keeping.
