Job summary

Park County School District #1 seeks an Elementary Para-Educator for Southside Elementary School. You will provide instructional assistance and support to students under the supervision of teachers and the building principal.

Responsibilities include following daily plans, preparing classroom materials, assisting students as directed, and performing other duties as assigned. The position works 22.5 hours per week during the school year with ASAP start and until-filled closing date.

Qualifications

• Two years of college (48 hours) or Associate's Degree (or higher) preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students and staff and follow instructions provided by the teacher and supervisor, team oriented, ability to work in dynamic, diverse settings and a willingness to adapt to specific or new working situations.
• Prior experience with school-aged children in an educational setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional assistance/support for students in assigned classroom(s) as directed by the teacher(s) and building principal.
• Follow daily plans from supervising teacher(s).
• Make classroom preparations and assist students as directed.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.
