Job summary

Abilene ISD seeks an Assistant Principal - Elementary (Pooled) to direct and manage instructional programs and campus operations district-wide. The role emphasizes student services, staff supervision, and school climate within a primary grades setting.

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree and Texas principal certification (TTESS appraiser preferred) with at least three years of classroom teaching experience and strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate; TTESS appraiser preferred.
• Three years' experience as a classroom teacher.
• Strong knowledge of campus operations, curriculum, and instructional leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional program and campus operations.
• Develop and monitor campus improvement plans with staff, parents, and community.
• Establish student discipline system and maintain school climate.
• Oversee daily operations: schedules, staffing, and budget requests.
• Supervise and evaluate professional staff and assist in hiring.
