Job summary

Chapman Elementary School in the Gibraltar School District is seeking a Building Substitute (EduStaff) for the 2026-2027 school year. The role reports to the Building Principal and offers a daily wage of $150. This substitute position supports ongoing classroom instruction and district initiatives.

The successful candidate will plan, prepare, and implement instruction, collaborate with teachers and staff, and ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining regular attendance.

Qualifications

• 60+ college credits required.
• Valid and Current Michigan Teacher Certificate preferred.
• Previous teacher or guest teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, implement and document high quality instruction, assessments, and interventions to meet the needs of all students.
• Honor and carry out district initiatives and curriculum.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, colleagues, and administration.
• Participate in a Professional Learning Community setting by collaborating regularly with team of teachers, special area teachers, and special education teachers.
• Integrate technology effectively in a variety of forms on a daily basis as appropriate.
• Maintain consistent attendance and report to work on timeas expected.
• Attend all meetings required for this position.
• Complete assigned tasks, reports, and other requirements on time.
