Job summary

A local educational foundation in Carlsbad is looking for a Child Care Team Member to work in a Before and After School Program. In this part-time role, you'll engage elementary students in enriching STEAM activities, provide supervision, and foster a safe learning environment. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with children, at least 12 units in Child Development, and relevant experience in child care. Qualifications

• 12 units in Child Development or a related field (Psychology, Sociology, Art, Music, Theater, PE…).
• 6+ months experience in child care.
• DOJ fingerprint/background clearance required.
• TB test & health screening required.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid recommended.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students in hands-on STEAM activities.
• Lead games, crafts, music, and outdoor play.
• Support homework and positive behavior.
• Ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
• Communicate with parents and school staff.
• Be a positive role model every day.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 15–29 hours/week

No nights or weekends!
