Job summary

The Quabbin Regional School District is seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher for the Elementary Autism Program at Hardwick Elementary School.

The program serves Kindergarten students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, using ABA-based instruction with BCBA support and a low student/teacher ratio. The teacher acts as liaison for students in the Autism Program and collaborates with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years successful teaching at the appropriate level.
• Massachusetts Professional License for Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities or Severe Disabilities.
• BCBA/LABA and ABA experience preferred.
• Proven communication skills.
• Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in alignment with ABA principles with BCBA support.
• Serve as liaison for students in the Elementary Autism Program.
• Maintain a highly modified curriculum with a small class size and low student/teacher ratio.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support student progress.
