Job summary

The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons aligned with MA frameworks, maintain IEPs and progress reports, and collaborate with families and staff while adhering to laws governing special education.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching and supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and other complex needs.
• Working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis.
• Write goals and objectives, complete IEPs and progress reports, and run annual meetings.
• Establish a safe, engaging learning environment with positive behavior supports.
• Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure for Moderate/Severe Disabilities and SEI endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with Massachusetts Frameworks and Universal Design for Learning.
• Provide accommodations and modifications to the general curriculum based on IEPs.
• Collaborate with staff and maintain open communication with parents/guardians.
• Participate in annual IEP meetings and progress reporting.
