Job summary

ReNEW Schools seeks an Elementary Assistant Principal in East Chicago, IN to provide instructional leadership, oversee curriculum implementation and professional development, and support day-to-day building administration with a focus on safety and welfare of students and staff.

Qualified candidates must hold an Indiana Administrators License, have experience in Title I and Special Education programs, and have worked in urban educational environments.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana Administrators License required.
• Experience in Title I program/school is required.
• Experience in Special Education program/school is required.
• Experience in urban educational environments is preferred.
• Proven leadership and instructional supervision experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the administrative head of the school in the absence of the principal.
• Administer student discipline and support positive student performance.
• Assist with staff evaluations and scheduling.
• Manage building operations, schedules, and coordination of events.
• Supervise staff attendance and substitutes.
• Coordinate development of the master teaching schedule.
• Provide general supervision of students and extracurriculars.
• Maintain strong community and parent relations.
• Act as instructional leader and support school improvement initiatives.
