Job summary

American Leadership Academy is accepting applications for an Elementary Assistant Director for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities include supervising in the Director’s absence, overseeing PLC processes, curriculum implementation, and testing coordination.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card; Master’s degree and leadership experience are preferred. Competitive salary, health benefits, PTO, and 401K are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Master’s degree and 5+ years of teaching or leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume supervision on behalf of or in the absence of the Director.
• Collaborate with the Director to oversee PLC, EEL Instructional Model, and approved curriculum implementation.
• Oversee documentation of PLC meeting agendas, tutoring sign-in logs, newsletters, and related records.
• Monitor lesson plan development and grading, providing feedback.
• Observe and evaluate staff performance using formal and informal rubrics.
• Collaborate to provide professional development and coaching for staff.
• Develop and enforce Teacher Improvement Plans in coordination with the Director.
• Oversee standardized testing and data reporting.
• Build master schedule and class rosters; coordinate conferences.
• Attend IEP and 504 meetings as LEA/504 Coordinator; supervise MTSS.
• Ensure policy compliance and coordinate instructional coaching where applicable.
