Job summary

The Reedsport School District 105 is seeking a qualified archery coach for Highland Elementary School to lead after-school archery activities for elementary students. Plan practices, ensure safety, manage equipment, and coordinate facility use with the office.

Candidates must hold or be able to obtain a coaching certificate and First Aid/CPR, NASP certification or be working toward it; prior archery or coaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have or be able to obtain a valid coaching certificate and First Aid/CPR certification.
• NASP certification or ability to obtain NASP certification.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred.
• Previous archery or coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead archery club practices for elementary students.
• Communicate effectively with school personnel, student athletes, and parents/guardians.
• Maintain archery equipment and inventory.
• Coordinate facility use with the office manager.
• Teach proper archery techniques, safety procedures, and range etiquette.
• Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Supervise students and maintain a safe archery range.
• Prepare students for competitions and support participation in NASP events.
• Follow all district, school, and NASP policies and procedures.

Salary Range: One time stipend per Collective Bargaining Agreement of $1,998 - $2,703 depending on paid coaching experience.
