JOB TITLE: Archery Coach

SUPERVISOR: School Principal/Athletic Director

CLASSIFICATION: Coach

JOB SUMMARY

An Archery Coach is responsible for the supervision of club participants, providing a safe and fun learning environment, and serving as a positive role model.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, plan, and lead archery activities.
  • Teach basic archery skills to club members.
  • Ensure safety of participants.
  • Enforce all rules and procedures.
  • Set up and take down all equipment before and after club activities.
  • Maintain a fun and competitive environment.
  • Maintain and safeguard the archery equipment.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be a certified Level I Basic Archery Instructor through NASP.
  • Previous archery experience.
  • Experience working with students.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud and can vary in temperature. The nature of this position is fast-paced and may occasionally be thought of as stressful. Through interaction with the public and other district employees, the employee may encounter different scents.
