Job summary

KIPP Capital Region is seeking an Academic Interventionist to work with elementary and middle school students in Albany and Troy, NY. You will design targeted lessons, track progress with data, and provide feedback to students and teachers within KIPP's blended learning framework.

The role emphasizes collaboration with school teams, a student-centered approach, and commitment to anti-racism and equity across the district network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University is required.
• Valid NYS Teaching Licensure or willingness to pursue state certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a school educator, preferably in a charter or public school environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring, coaching, goal-setting, and academic case management to improve performance.
• Develop lesson plans based on individual learning needs and data to track progress.
• Lead small-group tutoring and collaborate with teachers and families.
• Maintain required documentation and communicate progress to staff.
