Responsibilities

• Design and implement an engaging learning environment that goes beyond traditional approaches, creating active and immersive learning experiences.
• Collaborate with colleagues to facilitate learning that connects core subjects to real-world challenges, guiding students to investigate, critique, and create.
• Serve as a mentor and coach, providing scaffolding and feedback to help students meet and exceed grade-level standards and produce high-quality work.
• Use data-informed instruction to assess student progress and ensure all students are supported in reaching their full potential.
• Deliver instruction for assigned grades and subjects using the adopted curriculum, modifying content to address individual student differences, learning styles, and abilities.
• Incorporate inquiry-based, project-based learning approaches when appropriate, offering hands‑on experiences that enhance understanding and productive struggle.
• Maintain a safe and respectful classroom environment, promoting learning through effective behavior management and social‑emotional development strategies.
• Communicate openly with families, co‑workers, supervisors, and other school staff.
• Maintain accurate records on attendance, accidents, incidents, and other noteworthy events in compliance with licensing guidelines and program policies.
• Engage in professional development, contribute to goal setting, reflection, and integration of innovative strategies.
• Attend parent conferences and project-based learning exhibitions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant content area from an accredited university.
• Teaching credential/certificate/license for the corresponding age/grade level.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Colorado Teaching Certificate.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass required pre-employment background screenings at entry.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Direct Reports: Responsible for supervising the behavior and well‑being of students in the classroom, hallways, playground, getting on and off the bus, recess, lunch, and to/from classes.
