Operation Breakthrough's Breakthrough Academy is seeking an Elementary School Teacher for Fourth and Fifth Grade. The role centers on fostering a love of STEM and reading through hands-on, project-based learning while meeting academic standards.

You will collaborate with STEM instructors, use Conscious Discipline, and create an inclusive, engaging classroom where every student can achieve their potential. Missouri teaching certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned lessons in math, reading, science, and language arts, with a strong focus on STEM integration.
• Develop and implement project-based learning activities that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
• Utilize technology effectively to enhance instruction and student learning.
• Create and maintain a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
• Regularly assess student learning through various methods, including formative and summative assessments.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and families.
• Track student progress and identify areas where additional support may be needed.
• Prepare students for standardized tests.
• Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

JOB SUMMARY

Breakthrough Academy is a newly approved Missouri Charter Elementary School opening in 2026. Key responsibilities include fostering a love of science, technology, engineering, math and reading through engaging, hands-on activities, while also ensuring students meet academic standards in core subjects.
