Base pay range
$23.00/hr - $25.00/hr
Summary
Looking for a skilled Manufacturing Painter who will, under moderate supervision, operate electrostatic/conventional spray guns to paint metal cabinets and interior fixtures, clean and maintain spray booth and paint equipment, and assist other departments as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Apply coating/paint with electric static airless spray guns
- Maintain painting equipment, including minor repairs and ensuring proper supplies
- Work effectively as part of a team and strive to improve skills
- Apply epoxy and polyurethane coatings in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of surface preparation, mixing 2 and 3 component coatings, and application of performance coatings on steel
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, spray guns, and other specialty tools
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Meet or exceed deadlines and schedules
- Follow all safety rules and guidelines
Required Skills/Abilities
- Understand safety hazards and grounding procedures
- Understand electrostatic painting process
- Know how to operate and troubleshoot spray guns
- Be aware of environmental conditions like temperature and humidity
- Clean spray guns immediately after use
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements
- Work in confined or enclosed spaces with proper respirators
- Stand for long periods, lift up to 25+ lbs, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, and crouch
- Determine colors accurately when mixing paints
- Be physically active for extended periods
