Job summary

Biomerics in Monroe, CT is seeking a dedicated Metal Finishing Operator to perform electropolishing and passivation of formed metal parts. You will follow work instructions, perform in-process inspections, pre-clean parts, rack and unrack components, and move items along the production line in a fast-paced electropolishing shop.

The role requires reliability, willingness to work overtime, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend written job instructions (in English) required.
• Must be able to accurately document processing notes
• Ability to communicate effectively to supervisors and co-workers in a fast-paced production environment
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. regularly, safely, without assistance or difficulty
• Ability to climb stairs, reach and twist as needed
• Ability to use hand carts to move material and pull fully loaded pallet jacks
• Ability to remain on feet continuously throughout the work day
• Ability to use micrometer, microscope, gages, and other QC Tools preferred
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings preferred
• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in electropolishing, plating, metal finishing strongly preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Follow documented procedures for daily production work.
• Ensure electropolishing and passivation meet quality and safety standards.
• Identify non-conforming product via visual and/or dimensional inspection.
• Communicate quality/quantity issues to supervisors/co-workers.
• Pre-clean parts by hand.
• Document in-process inspection results.
• Monitor equipment and suggest maintenance when needed.
• Move in-process work between departments.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping per policy.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
