Staffmark Group in Monroe, CT is seeking a Metal Finishing Operator to operate manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, and help produce consistent results in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, can read and follow English instructions, and is comfortable with the 3rd shift (Fri-Mon, 10:30 PM–6:30 AM). Prior metal finishing experience is a plus, with strong teamwork and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions in English.
• Ability to accurately complete production and inspection documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform electropolishing and passivation processes on metal components following established work instructions.
• Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure quality standards are met.
• Identify and report non-conforming materials or production issues.
• Pre-clean, rinse, rack, and un-rack parts for processing.
• Record inspection results and production information accurately.
• Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance needs.
• Transport materials and work-in-process between production departments.
• Follow all safety, quality, and housekeeping procedures.

Pay Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule: 3rd Shift: Friday - Monday | 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred


• Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal work instructions in English


• Ability to accurately complete production and inspection documentation

Experience Requirements

• Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or metal finishing experience preferred


• Experience with electropolishing, passivation, plating, or metal processing is a plus


• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment with quality and productivity goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using quality inspection tools such as micrometers, gauges, microscopes, or similar measuring equipment


• Ability to identify quality issues and communicate concerns effectively


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings preferred


• Strong teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail


• Willingness to work overtime as needed

Physical Capabilities

• Stand and walk continuously throughout the shift


• Frequently lift and move up to 40 pounds without assistance


• Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds


• Ability to climb stairs, reach, bend, twist, and perform repetitive tasks


• Ability to safely operate basic material handling equipment
