Job summary

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is seeking a full-time Electroplating Technician to support setup and maintenance of plating lines. You will work with a skilled team to ensure high-quality parts and efficient production.

You will interpret job orders, monitor inventories, perform inspections, and keep production records across rotating daylight, afternoon, and midnight shifts. Competitive wage and comprehensive benefits accompany the role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under pressure and with a heavy workload.
  • Ability to make quick, effective, and accurate decisions.
  • Solid technical, mechanical, and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand and walk an 8-hour shift.
  • Must be able to work weekly rotating shifts of daylight, afternoon and midnight.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of the plating lines.
  • Assist with plating and inspection of parts.
  • Assist with preparation of parts for shipping.
  • Interpret specifications, part prints, and job orders used for setup and inspections.
  • Maintain a job tracking system.
  • Help track and maintain chemical inventories used in plating.
  • Perform visual inspection of plated products, using a microscope.
  • Study production schedules and estimate material requirements for orders.
  • Perform procedures to meet schedules with knowledge of machine capacities.
  • Maintain accurate time and production records.
  • Conduct housekeeping duties on the line.

Electroplating Technician

Responsibilities
  • Assist with the efficient setup and maintenance of the plating lines
  • Assist with plating and inspection of the parts
  • Assist with the preparation of parts for shipping
  • Interpret specifications, internal part prints used for part set‑up and inspections, and job orders
  • Maintain a job tracking system
  • Help track and maintain chemical inventories used in the plating process
  • Perform visual inspection of all plated products, using a microscope
  • Study the production schedule and estimate the requirements for completing an order efficiently and effectively
  • Perform work procedures to meet schedules, using knowledge of capacities of the machines and equipment
  • Maintain accurate time and production records
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties on the line
