Job summary

S&C Electric Company is seeking an Electroplating Finisher to support the production of plated components in a hands-on role. You will prepare parts, load/unload plating racks, operate plating equipment, and follow established processes with safety in mind.

This position requires attention to detail, ability to learn electroplating processes, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting. The role offers an employee-owner culture and a night shift schedule with occasional overtime as needed.

• Must have basic knowledge of shop math and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts using blueprints, work instructions, and job documentation for proper processing and traceability.
• Pre-plating surface preparation including cleaning such as sand blasting, vapor blasting, or tumbling.
• Load and unload parts onto plating racks or barrels following procedures.
• Operate electroplating equipment, monitor process conditions and follow procedures.
• Learn plating processes involving chemicals, tanks, and process controls.
• Perform inspections to ensure parts meet quality requirements.
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, micrometers, and calipers.
• React to system alarms and report equipment or process issues.
• Perform basic chemical maintenance and housekeeping to maintain a safe area.
• Follow safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times.
