Job summary

Penn United Technologies, Inc. is hiring for a full-time Apprentice Electroplating Technician in our growing plating facility. This three-year, in-house certificate program blends on-the-job training with classroom instruction.

The role requires rotating weekly among daylight, afternoon, and midnight shifts, with a 10% shift premium for non-daylight shifts. Competitive pay and extensive benefits accompany this hands-on opportunity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical, mechanical and math ability required.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs and stand 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Learn plating shop tasks on the floor and participate in the 3-year in-house program.
• Attend apprenticeship classes on site as part of training.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of plating lines and inspection of parts.
• Prepare parts for shipping and help maintain the job tracking system.
• Assist with inventory management and orders, adhering to safety and quality plans.
• Study production schedules and help estimate material needs to complete orders efficiently.
