Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage is seeking an Electrophysiology Technician to support cardiovascular physicians during invasive procedures. You will operate and monitor advanced equipment, uphold sterile technique, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Required certifications include CCI (or ARRT) and BLS/ACLS; relocation and a $15,000 hiring bonus are available for eligible external hires. This is a full-time, day-shift position with on-site work.

Qualifications

• Certification and credentials required upon hire: CCI or ARRT, BLS, ACLS.
• Preferred: Graduation from an accredited school with supervised clinical experience in invasive electrophysiological procedures.
• Experience in invasive electrophysiological procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiovascular physicians during invasive diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures.
• Operate and monitor advanced electrophysiology equipment and devices.
• Participate in quality control and compliance with confidentiality policies.

• 1 position open for Full time, 1.0 FTE, Day shifts, 40 hours per week schedules.
• $15,000 Hiring Bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
• Relocation Assistance available for eligible hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.
• 1 Per Diem position, 0.01 FTE, Day shifts, hours per week are as needed and not guaranteed (no bonus or relocation).

This posting is for multiple openings of Electrophysiology Technician position at Providence Anchorage

Assists cardiovascular Physicians in performing and completing invasive diagnostic therapeutic cardiovascular procedures in Labs using a variety of complicated/advanced equipment, monitors, devices, and supplies. Knowledgeable in Vascular and Cardiac Procedural practice as well as emergent techniques/protocol. Assists in Quality Control checks/Quality Improvement Program. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes "team" concept and reflects the Sisters of Providence mission and philosophy. Able to observe hospital and departmental policies on confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

• Upon hire: National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International, Or
• Upon hire: Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduation from an accredited school with supervised clinical experience in invasive electrophysiological procedures., Or equivalent education/experience
• Previous Special Procedures/Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technician.
• Experience in invasive electrophysiological procedures.
