Job summary

Cardiology Consultants of Philadelphia (CCP) is hiring a full-time Electrophysiology Coder (CPC) in their Philadelphia, PA office. The CPC codes electrophysiology services, EP device procedures, and related clinic visits, ensuring compliance with CMS, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and payer guidelines.

The role reports to the Director of Coding & Payments and offers a $500 sign-on bonus. The candidate must have active CPC certification, at least three years of cardiology coding experience (EP preferred), and

Qualifications

• CPC certification active and maintained.
• Minimum of three years of professional medical coding experience in cardiology.
• Electrophysiology coding experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and payer requirements.
• Ability to work independently and meet productivity/accuracy standards.

Responsibilities

• Review provider documentation and assign accurate codes for EP services and device procedures.
• Code the full range of electrophysiology procedures and device services.
• Apply E/M guidelines, global surgical rules, and payer requirements.
• Review claims for coding errors and unbilled charges before submission.
• Reconcile EP procedures against billed charges to ensure full capture.
• Maintain productivity and accuracy while handling coding queues.
• Query providers to clarify documentation and improve coding accuracy.
• Support resolution of denials and appeals with the billing team.
• Stay current with CMS and payer policy updates affecting EP coding.
