Job summary

University Health Associates (UHA) seeks an Advanced Practice Professional for the Cardiology/Section of Electrophysiology to oversee comprehensive patient care, including peri-operative services and discharge planning. Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by one of the recognized APRN Certification Centers.
• Licensure, or eligibility for licensure, as an APRN in West Virginia.
• BLS Certification required with ALS training at department discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manages comprehensive care for cardiology/electrophysiology patients during inpatient and early post-discharge phases.
• Performs rounds, pre-procedure evaluations, and coordinates tests and consults as needed.
• Collaborates with cardio faculty and staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Documents plans, interventions and evaluations in the medical record following hospital policies.

Education

Master’s Degree in Nursing (CCNE accredited program)

National Certification by APRN Certification Centers

Licensure/eligibility as APRN in West Virginia

American Heart Association BLS Certification
