Job summary

Inova Health seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to join the Electrophysiology Syncope and Autonomic Disorders team at Inova Fairfax Hospital. This is a full-time outpatient role with no nights or on-call requirements, working within a multidisciplinary team in Virginia.

You will perform initial evaluations, develop differential diagnoses, educate patients on management, and participate in quality initiatives while maintaining thorough documentation and collaborating with supervising

Qualifications

• Independent judgment in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of syncope under physician supervision in outpatient cardiology and electrophysiology.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive new patient evaluations for syncope and related conditions.
• Obtain detailed histories focusing on events, triggers, medications and etiologies.
• Develop differential diagnoses and care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Perform focused cardiovascular and neurologic examinations; interpret records and tests.
• Provide education regarding syncope management and recurrence risk.
• Maintain complete documentation and ensure standards of care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and cost-conscious care measures.
