Job summary

MedStar Health's Heart Rhythm team seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to manage outpatient clinic patients and perform consultations in area hospitals, including peri-procedure care, under mentoring physicians.

This role offers five 8-hour shifts Mon-Fri with weekend call (1:5). Autonomy in daily patient management is supported by experienced attendings; cardiology background is a plus and travel between locations is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
• License/Certification/Registration (DEA, CSR, CPR)
• Superior verbal and written communication skills required
• Superior computer skills required
• Travel Required (between office/hospital locations)

Responsibilities

• Focus on managing patients in the outpatient clinic settings and performing consultations in area hospitals.
• See patients for peri-procedure management.
• Work with attending physicians who mentor for learning and career development.
• Five 8-hour shifts a week Monday through Friday; weekend call required (1:5)
