Job summary

The Structures Company, a premier national aerospace and defense staffing agency, seeks an Electrophysics Engineer/Scientist 2 for a 12-month contract in Albuquerque, NM. Active Top Secret clearance is required to start. Must be a U.S.

person and capable of obtaining/maintaining clearance as needed. The role involves developing and validating electro-optical, laser, and sensor system requirements, performing analyses, and supporting product lifecycle with modeling, simulation and testing.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required to start.
• 1+ years minimum of related experience.
• Education or work experience in Electro-Optics.
• Experience with Electro Optical including producing specifications, tolerances, simulations, assembly, integration and test of fiber optic sensors, systems and components, including sensors, lasers, fiber-optics, and telecommunications products.
• Experience in laser and electro-optical systems and optical communication systems requirements development, integration, testing and analysis.
• Preferred: Zemax, CodeV software for EO design analysis.
• Preferred: Experience performing analysis on EO/IR systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and validation of requirements for electro-optical systems, sensors, lasers, and other EM systems.
• Help integrate multiple systems into higher level platforms.
• Conduct trade studies, modeling, and simulation to predict performance.
• Assist in designing complex electro-optical and laser systems.
• Develop new modeling and simulation techniques.
• Support tests to validate performance against requirements.
