Job summary

Sterling Engineering in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to support production of Cerebrus platforms. This hands-on role focuses on system-level testing, troubleshooting, and failure analysis in a high‑performance electronics environment.

You will work across hardware, firmware, and basic software configuration, perform burn-in and validation, and contribute to process improvements. Shift options, onsite only, with competitive pay of $32/hour plus 10% second shift

Qualifications

• 2+ years in electronics, computing, or AI product manufacturing.
• Hands-on testing, debugging, and failure analysis experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot at component and system level.
• Ability to read schematics and understand circuitry.
• Experience in a high‑volume production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for documentation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of computer systems and electronic assemblies
• Conduct failure analysis to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
• Support production by resolving technical issues quickly to minimize downtime and yield loss
• Work across hardware, firmware, and basic software configuration
• Execute test procedures, burn‑in processes, and validation protocols
• Configure systems, including firmware flashing, hardware connections, and system setup
• Document technical issues clearly and communicate findings
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams on process improvements
• Assist with new product introductions (NPI) and test process development
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to yield, reliability, and efficiency
