General Purpose: Conducts, tests, and troubleshoots electronic products, components, and systems to ensure production quality standards are met.
Principle Accountabilities:
- Develops, maintains, and improves all test and burn-in processes within area of responsibility.
- Periodically reviews all process specifications to ensure accuracy and updates them as required.
- Ensures compliance with safety, ISO-9000, and BABT standards for all processes.
- Reviews quality yields and develops corrective actions to eliminate detractors, improving process and product reliability.
- Assists with fabrication and development of new equipment, fixtures, and test programs.
- Maintains effective preventive maintenance, calibration, diagnostics, and re-qualification schedules for each process.
- Coordinates manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering preventive activities, ensuring schedules are followed.
- Supports engineering and development labs with new product introduction and development.
- Monitors FIMPA or product off-load activities for assigned processes.
- Ensures training/certification packages are available and completed for manufacturing and maintenance staff.
- Assists with equipment moves or line re-arrangements as needed.
- Evaluates new equipment and develops cost-effective justification for purchases.
- Leads recovery actions for downed processes, coordinating with relevant teams to restore operations.
- Develops disaster recovery plans for test and burn-in processes.
- Follows engineering test processes.
- Performs high-level repair, software build, and hardware connections between units.
- Configures/flashes firmware and connects hardware components.
- Sets up complex Disk Arrays.
- Troubleshoots and debugs at multiple system levels.
- Performs module verification.
