Job summary

Actalent, Inc. is seeking a contracted-to-hire Electronics Technician for Akron, OH. You will install, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a wide range of hardware, and complete quality and test reports to verify conformance to drawings.

You will provide status updates to leaders via email, support inventory management, and may travel to customer locations. A strong foundation in electrical systems and the ability to interpret wiring and pneumatic schematics are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Ability to understand wiring schematics, pneumatic schematics and assembly drawings.
• Ability to locate, analyze, and correct power failures, short circuits, and electrical related problems.
• Proficient with hand tools.
• Ability to understand and apply basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from engineers and clearly convey problems to engineers.
• Strong background in electrical systems and commitment to safety.
• Physically able to lift 35 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVE:

PLUS:

Familiarity with tethered airborne systems and payloads

Broad understanding of DoD airborne and ground systems, hardware, software, operations, and their interdependence

Experience with CAD modeling software such as CREO, NX or SolidWorks

Experience with mechanical and electrical drawing standards

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Akron, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
