Job summary

Eaton's Electronics Lab Technician in Woodridge, IL will join the engineering lab group responsible for testing and qualification of electronic circuits and products. You will work with the product development team to run design and functionality tests on analog and digital circuits up to 400V.

The role emphasizes hands-on circuit debugging, documentation, and collaboration with hardware and firmware engineers to bring prototype boards to a tested state, supporting high-voltage projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in EE or Electronics Tech with 2+ years electronics experience, or an associate degree with 4+ years experience.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with Windows suite (Word, Excel, Visio).
• Ability to develop automated tests for recurring processes.
• Experience with high voltage (up to 400V) circuits and EMC testing.
• Knowledge of TUV/UL standards helpful.

Responsibilities

• Test and qualify analog and digital circuits and complete products.
• Perform design testing and firmware/software testing.
• Collaborate with hardware/ firmware engineers during anomaly investigations.
• Create test documentation and reports.
• Build or modify prototype circuits, cabling, fixtures.
• Assist in developing test procedures.
