Job summary

EPIC Power Electronics Laboratory is seeking a Testing Technologist to support the development of electrified vehicle traction inverters. The role involves hands-on fabrication of test stands, assembly of prototype samples, and instrumentation with diagnostic sensors in a dynamic lab environment.

You will configure advanced lab equipment, troubleshoot experimental setups, perform routine maintenance, and help maintain a safe, organized facility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in R&D, validation, or test lab building and teardown of electromechanical test setups.
• 2+ years LV/HV wiring harness fabrication and inspection; CAD-based fabrication of fixtures/mounts.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build electromechanical test stands and custom wiring harnesses from CAD drawings.
• Inspect critical inverter components and assemble prototype test samples with sensors.
• Configure and operate lab equipment including HV testers, thermal chambers, and power cyclers; perform routine maintenance and safe teardowns.
• Support inventory management, shipping/receiving, equipment calibration, and maintain a safe, organized facility.
