Job summary

Eaton Group in Woodridge, IL is seeking an Electronics Lab Technician to join our engineering lab team responsible for testing and qualification of electronic circuits and products. The role involves testing analog and digital circuits up to 400V, firmware testing, and generating thorough test documentation.

You will build prototype circuits, develop fixtures and test setups, and collaborate with Hardware and Firmware Engineers to address anomalies and improve test procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technology with 2 years of electronics experience, or an associate degree with 4 years experience.
• Experience with testing and qualification of electronic circuits and products.
• Strong soldering and diagnostic skills for analog/digital circuitry.

Responsibilities

• Test and qualification of analog (up to 400V) and digital circuits and complete products.
• Perform firmware/software testing alongside hardware engineers.
• Generate complete test documentation of test setup and results.
• Build or modify prototype circuits, test fixtures, and cabling.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware engineers and assist with test procedures.
