Electronics Test and Validation Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a multidisciplinary engineer who can bridge technical design, documentation, and test/lab activities. This role combines electrical and mechanical engineering fundamentals with strong communication skills, hands-on troubleshooting, and exposure to supply chain and configuration management processes. You will collaborate with design, test, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to interpret requirements, support validation activities, and clearly communicate technical information across the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES GENERAL / CROSS-FUNCTIONAL
Technical writing and communication
  • Develop clear, concise technical documentation, including test procedures, reports, work instructions, and engineering change summaries.
  • Communicate complex technical topics to both engineering and non-engineering stakeholders.
  • Collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams (design, test, quality, supply chain).
Requirements and standards interpretation
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and bills of material.
  • Analyze and apply military and/or industry standards to designs, test plans, and acceptance criteria.
  • Interpret and apply specifications to ensure compliance during design and validation. Troubleshooting and failure analysis
  • Support root cause analysis of hardware and test issues, including data review and hypothesis development.
  • Recommend corrective actions and design or process improvements.
  • Document findings and follow through on corrective and preventive actions. Configuration management and supply chain interfaces
  • Work with configuration management to maintain accurate part records, revision control, and change documentation.
  • Coordinate with supply chain on component selection, qualification status, obsolescence, and alternates.
  • Ensuring technical documentation supports procurement, manufacturing, and service needs. Test lab interfacing
  • Partner with test lab personnel to define test requirements and ensure setups meet design intent and safety standards.
  • Review test data, provide technical guidance, and support resolution of lab issues.
  • Assist in planning and scheduling test activities and reporting results.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 3 years in an engineering role supporting hardware design, testing, or validation in aerospace, defence, or industrial environments.
CORE SKILLS:
