Job summary

Aeon in Austin, TX is seeking an Electronics Technician to join a fast‑paced, hands‑on engineering team. You will work with advanced electronic systems, performing assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of complex PCBs and assemblies.

The role emphasizes SMT expertise, diagnostics, and collaboration with engineers on rapid hardware iterations. The position is in‑person in Austin with plans to move to Cedar Park in early 2027.

Qualifications

• BS/AS in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or equivalent.
• Experience hand-assembling and reworking SMT PCBs.
• Ability to read schematics and interpret BOMs.
• Proficient with lab test equipment and measurements.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision SMT soldering, desoldering, and rework under a microscope.
• Assemble, modify, and repair PCB assemblies to IPC‑A‑610 standards.
• Set up and operate lab test equipment to verify functionality and reliability.
• Diagnose faults and support rapid hardware iteration with engineers.
