Nexus Hires is seeking an Electronics Technician for oilfield equipment in Rifle, Colorado. This field role focuses on diagnostics, calibration and repair of flow meters, densometers and data acquisition gear.

Schedule is 15 days on, 6 days off, full-time, with per diem when working away from the home district and housing provided at select locations. You will work with 12/24V DC and 120/480V AC systems and document calibration records.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in electronics, instrumentation, controls or a closely related field.
• Able to read schematics and troubleshoot to component level.
• Working knowledge of DC and AC systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• HS diploma or GED; tech certs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate instrumentation—flow meters, densometers, transducers, load cells.
• Maintain control systems and data acquisition equipment on field units.
• Diagnose electrical faults in 12/24V DC and 120/480V AC systems.
• Build, repair and route wiring harnesses and cabling.
• Troubleshoot to component level with a multimeter and schematics.
• Support field callouts when a unit is down on location.
• Document work performed and keep calibration records current.
• Follow all safety procedures.

About This Opportunity

Nexus Hires is recruiting on behalf of an established oilfield cementing company with operations across the major U.S. basins. Their field equipment runs modern control systems and real-time data acquisition, so the electronics work here is genuine instrumentation work — not board swapping.

The Work

• Troubleshoot, repair and calibrate instrumentation — flow meters, densometers, pressure transducers, load cells
• Maintain control systems and data acquisition equipment on field units
• Diagnose electrical faults in 12/24V DC and 120/480V AC systems
• Build, repair and route wiring harnesses and cabling
• Troubleshoot to the component level using a multimeter and schematics
• Support field callouts when a unit goes down on location
• Document work performed and keep calibration records current
• Follow all safety procedures

What You Need

• 2+ years in electronics, instrumentation, controls or a closely related field
• Comfortable reading schematics and troubleshooting to the component level
• Working knowledge of both DC and AC systems
• Valid driver’s license and a clean MVR
• High school diploma or GED. Associate degree or technical certificate in electronics, instrumentation or a related field is a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all weather
• Able to pass a background check and drug screen

Backgrounds That Do Well Here

• Military electronics — Navy ET or EM, Air Force avionics, Army 94-series. Your training transfers directly and we want to talk to you
• Instrumentation technicians from refining, midstream, chemical or power generation
• Controls or automation technicians from manufacturing
• Oilfield electronics from pressure pumping, wireline, MWD or cementing

Nice to Have

• PLC or control system exposure
• Calibration certification
• Oscilloscope and signal troubleshooting experience
• CDL, or willingness to obtain one

Schedule, Travel and Housing

• 15 days on, 6 days off. You will know your days off well in advance.
• Getting to and from your home district is your responsibility.
• $55 per day per diem when you are working away from your home district. This is not paid every day — it applies when you are at another location or away from your district.
• Housing is provided or supported at select locations. Ask your recruiter what is available in [CITY].
